Residential Irrigation & Sprinkler Systems • Local Branches in Cleveland and Columbus

Residential Irrigation for Beds That Still Look Good in August

The point of a sprinkler system is not having to think about water. No hose at seven in the morning, no wondering whether the far bed is getting any. That happens when the system is set for what is planted and adjusted as the season moves, which is the part most systems never get.

The same branch that maintains your beds and your lawn handles the water, so nothing falls between two companies.

The System Should Move With the Season

An irrigation system set in April is watering for April. By the second week of August the beds have filled in, the sun has moved, and the schedule that was right in spring is drowning one zone and starving another. Nobody notices until something dies.

  • Zones are set for what is planted in them.

New plantings, established beds, turf, and containers all want different amounts of water. Running them on one schedule means something is always getting the wrong one.

  • The schedule moves with the season.

Run times are adjusted as the year goes on rather than programmed once and left. That is the difference between a system that works and a system that simply runs.

  • Problems are caught on the regular visit.

The crew in your beds is the crew that notices a head sitting low, a wet patch that should not be there, or a zone that stopped reaching the back corner.

  • Winterization happens before the freeze.

Lines are blown out and the controller shut down ahead of the first sustained freeze. A system left charged through an Ohio winter is the most expensive and most avoidable repair in this trade.

How Residential Irrigation Service Works

We walk the system under pressure.

Every zone run, every head checked, and the programming compared against what is currently growing rather than what was planted three years ago.

You get the year in writing.

Startup, mid-season adjustment, and winterization scheduled in advance, with any repairs priced before they happen.

The system is adjusted as the season moves.

Run times change with the weather and the growth rather than holding the April setting into September.

"The lawn crew has taken such great care of our new lawn. We moved into new construction and had to start a yard from scratch. Their expertise and knowing how best to maintain our new yard has been incredible."

Reviews from the companies that came together as Exscape Group.

How Exscape Group Operates on Your Property

01.

One person who knows your property.

You get a single point of contact who stays with your account year-round. Not a rotating queue, not a different name on every email.

02.

The crew serving you is based in your market.

Our branches cover Greater Cleveland and Columbus, so the team on your property is local to it. Local presence is how the company was built, not a byproduct of getting bigger.

03.

Every visit gets written down.

After a service visit you hear what the crew saw, whether it was expected or not. Property history lives in one shared system across every branch, not in one person's truck.

04.

We are still here after the install.

When the first fall arrives and you are wondering what to cut back and what to leave, someone answers. The team that builds your space is the team that cares for it.

05.

We will tell you if we are not the right fit.

If your project is smaller, we will tell you plainly rather than take three weeks to not call you back.

Good Questions, Straight Answers

  • Exscape Group runs startups in spring once the risk of a hard freeze has passed, typically from April, and winterizes in late fall before the first sustained freeze, typically through October and November. Both are scheduled in advance on recurring accounts rather than booked each season. A system left charged through an Ohio winter is the most common cause of expensive spring repairs.
  • Exscape Group sets run times zone by zone rather than across the whole system, because watering needs depend on what is planted, the soil it sits in, and how much sun each area receives. Established beds on Ohio clay hold water very differently from new plantings or containers. The schedule is adjusted through the season rather than set once in spring.
  • Exscape Group installs irrigation into established yards regularly, planning trench routes around existing plantings, surfaces, and utilities so the work does not undo what is already there. On a yard still being designed, the irrigation goes in alongside the plantings and hardscape, which costs considerably less than retrofitting it later. The yard is walked and the layout agreed before anything is dug.
  • Exscape Group diagnoses a failed zone before quoting a repair, since the cause is usually a stuck valve, a broken line, a clogged head, or a controller programming fault. Mower damage, frost heave, and settling are the common physical causes in this climate. Repairs are scoped and priced before the work happens rather than performed and invoiced afterward.
